TW Labs Sample Pack License

This license applies to all sample packs and loop collections released by TW Labs / Typewriter, unless a product explicitly states otherwise.  

1. Scope

By purchasing a TW Labs sample pack, you receive a license to use the included sounds in your own music and audio productions, under the terms below.  

2. What you are allowed to do

With a valid purchase of a TW Labs sample pack, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Use the included sounds and loops in your own music, beats and audio productions. 
• Release those productions commercially (streaming, downloads, physical releases, live shows).
  
• Edit, process, resample and combine the sounds with your own recordings and instruments.
  
• Use the sounds in client work (artists, labels, brands), as long as the client does not receive the raw samples as a standalone library.    
  

3. What you are not allowed to do

You may not: 

• Re-sell, share or distribute the raw samples, loops or stems as your own sample pack or as part of any sample library.    
  
• Upload the raw samples to any platform where they can be accessed or downloaded as sounds (sample marketplaces, preset portals etc.).    
• Use the samples to train or feed any commercial sample library, AI sound model or similar product.    
• Claim authorship of the underlying compositions of melodic loops.    
  

4. Master rights (audio recordings)

• Master use is effectively royalty-free for normal and independent releases.
• You do not owe additional master fees or royalties to TW Labs / Typewriter when you release a song that uses these samples.    
• You fully own your final mix and master, subject only to the restrictions in this license (no re-packaging of raw sounds, etc.).
  

5. Publishing & clearance (compositions)

Melodic loops in these packs contain original compositional elements (melody, harmony, motif). To keep things simple:  

• For independent releases and normal use (self-released, small labels, typical streaming numbers), you can use the loops without prior publishing clearance. We do not automatically claim a share.    
• If a track built around one of these melodies:      
  • is signed by a major label or major label imprint, and/or
  • receives a significant sync (film, series, trailer, game, brand campaign), and/or        
  • reaches around 5 million total streams across platforms
    
  you agree to contact us to clear a fair and reasonable publishing split and credit for Typewriter as a writer/composer on the track.
  

The goal is not to block your release, but to participate appropriately if a record built on these melodies becomes very successful.  

6. Credits

Where possible (especially on larger releases), please credit:

Sample pack by Typewriter / TW Labs  

Credits are not mandatory for smaller indie releases, but always appreciated. 

7. General

• This license is personal to you (or your company) and is tied to your purchase.   
  
• All rights not expressly granted remain with TW Labs / Typewriter.
